About NER Sufi

The goal of the Northeast Region and this website is to help build community among the Sufis in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont through the activities that are represented by the center and the five points of the star: Esoteric Concentration, Healing, Kinship, Universal Worship, Ziraat, and Dances of Universal Peace, as well as through regional workshops, retreats, programs, and our annual summer camp.

Welcome to the Inayati Order, Northeast Region

We have on ongoing variety of events to interest all those drawn to explore the spiritual path. On a regular basis we offer classes at several locations in the region of NH, ME and VT; we have an annual Summer Camp that has been going on more than 20 years and is a great place to sample a variety of meditations, dances, and other aspects of the spiritual path. Additionally, our region has an annual retreat with the current vice president of the Esoteric School of the Inayati Order, Naima Brown; we have an annual Ziraat seminar with Shakur Johnson, of the the senior Experienced Farmers of the Ziraat movement. We have a weekend retreat either annually or semi-annually with Aziza Scott, longtime teacher and retreat guide in the Inayati Order. There is a Festival of Light evening in the winter months to rekindle our connection with the Light in times of darkness.
