Kinship

Only when all organs of the greater family of Humanity are functioning in harmony will the health of Humanity reach its ideal form.

—Pir Zia Inayat Khan

The Kinship Concentration can be considered “the actualization of Love, Harmony, and Beauty.” It is taking our beliefs, our attunement, our energies—or simply “who we are”—out into the world each day, into the Brotherhood of Humanity. We can only know and serve God by knowing and serving all of God’s Creation.

Service comes in all forms. It can be economic, physical, spiritual, or simply through love. This service is done independently as well as in groups. Kinship can be as easy (and most effective) as a gesture or a smile in recognition and acknowledgment of seeing the God within ourselves as well as others.

Previous and ongoing projects include community food programs, a sock drive, and our family summer camp. Our efforts are never static, and we are always looking for ways to put our beliefs into daily action.
